The 7 deadly sins are a classification of humanity´s common vices that even if having their origin in a specific space of time and religion, the early Christian era, they still have a universal character.

7 Sins Contest is an international competition that will take place through the website aimed at artists of all disciplines (graffiti, painting, graphic design, photography, etc..) with the main objective of capturing these old clichés in a visual way and therefore exposing the mentality changes that have taken place over the last twenty centuries of history.
The art work presented must be related directly or indirectly with all or each of the 7 deadly sins. Each artist may submit as many pieces of works as they think appropriate. The style and technique are free.
There is an only prize of € 3,000 for the best piece of art work. A further selection of the best works will be part of a collective exhibition that will travel through some of the main capitals and major cities worldwide in 2010 and 2011. The final Top 10 works will receive a free copy of the memorial book that will be published at the end of the call.

Los 7 pecados capitales son una clasificación de los vicios más comunes de la humanidad que si bien tienen su origen en una época y religión concretas, los inicios de la era cristiana, poseen un carácter universal.

7 Sins Contest es un concurso internacional a través de la web dirigido a artistas plásticos de todas las disciplinas (graffiti, pintura, diseño gráfico, fotografía, etc.) que tiene como objetivo reinterpretar de forma visual estos viejos tópicos y dejar al descubierto los cambios de mentalidad que se han producido en estos últimos veinte siglos de historia.
Las obras a concurso deberán tratar directa o indirectamente sobre todos o cada uno de los 7 pecados capitales. Cada artista podrá presentar el número de obras que considere oportunas. El estilo y la técnica son libres.
Hay un único premio de 3.000€ al mejor trabajo. Una posterior selección de las mejores obras formará parte de una exposición colectiva itinerante que viajará por algunas de las capitales y principales ciudades del mundo en 2010 y 2011. Las 10 mejores obras finales recibirán una copia gratuita del libro/catálogo conmemorativo que se editará al finalizar la convocatoria.
